But I won't have any. Somebody left a packet of
Cadbury eggs by my desk this morning and I'm
studiously avoiding them. Usually, I'm the first in
line at Walgreens or Freddie's to get the 1/2 off
holiday candy - always the chocolate. But I'm not
going to do it this year.
Anyway, I feel a bit bad because I sort of went crazy
yesterday. I had just a small bowl of leftover
spaghetti for brunch and some coffee. And then late
afternoon, we went to a local steakhouse, Ringside,
and had dinner. Dad, Bro K and Bro S and myself - Mom
was going to come but she wasn't feelng up to it when the
time came for leaving. I had a New York steak,
delicious.....which was OK for a dieting person, but
the onion rings I had first weren't. And the
margarita. And the two pieces of bread - glommed
with butter. I finally realized I was full, leaving
about 1/4 of my steak and half of my garlic mashed potatoes.
So, altogether, except for the onion rings, it wasn't
so bad. And, it's not like I go there every day.
It's certainly not like I spend $200+change for dinner every
day, either. How come I always end up paying when we
do these things?
