TP Thoughts

Maime and I got on the subject of toilet paper this
afternoon at break. It was one of those rambling
conversations that go strange places and this one
wound over to the Cottonelle vs cheap brands of TP.

My personal experience with Cottonelle is that it
inevitably plugs up the da*ned toilet every time I use
it - I have to leave the stupid plunger right there in
hands reach because even if it's just a pee, the
stupid paper will plug. I know why, too. We replaced
the toilet a couple of years ago and the only ones you
can buy now are those ridiculous low flow models.
Which means a simple wad of quilted TP or Cottonelle
will make a plug. jeez, we have to use the thin stuff
cause I don't want to spend half my life plunging the
toilet. You know what I want, though? One of those
newer toilets that FLUSH TWELVE GOLF BALLS AT ONCE!
Those babies have some POWER!!

Oh, and here's something I wondered about last night
as I looked at my package of white, thin, non-clogging
TP sitting by the toilet, not knowing at the time that
today's afternoon break conversation would involve TP.
Remember when TP came in colors? Pretty, soft pastel
colors. I used to like the baby blue and the pink.
And you could buy TP with designs also - pretty
florals mostly. When did TP makers decide to make all
white TP and why didn't I notice before?

I remember the "Pretty" tp. And no, I do not remember when they stopped making it. It has been many a year since I've seen any.

I know, right? Where did it go?

Mom used to buy the pastel colors. Then she switched to the patterned. Then went to plain white. For some strange reason I want to go on a hunt for colored tp!
