Mom

Well, she fell again on Tuesday getting out of her
chair. The ironic thing is that her new lift chair
came that morning, but after she was taken to the
hospital. The lift chair would probably have
prevented the fall from happening in the first place.

I talked with the doc yesterday - her ankle is broken,
her ribs are bruised and she is anemic again, leading
the doc to think she may actually be bleeding
internally. He's also cutting her morphine because he
this the narcotics may be a factor in the falls. He
wants to have her primary doc do some further tests
for colon cancer or something but I don't think mom
will let them do it. In the meantime, she's still in
the hosp and they're looking for a place to put her
for a couple of weeks until she can stand. I hope
they find some place close and not out in the tooleyweeds
somewhere.

Update: she just called - they are moving her this afternoon.
