Ok, time to get really serious. Here it is the 19th
of June, 2 weeks left in the month, and I have gained
1.5 pounds.
June is the hardest time for me to concentrate on
weight loss - it's the beginning of barbecue season
and the weather is turning nice, it's filled with
birthdays and birthday parties and cake and ice cream,
and Father's day and more barbecues, and I have tried
to not completely indulge but when someone sticks a
perfectly barbecured tri-tip steak and mashed potatoes
in my face, what am I to do? Add that to
fresh-picked strawberries and ice cream and you can
see my dilemma. So, in the scheme of things, I think
that a gain of 1.5 is damned good.
So, the birthdays are now over. Father's Day is over.
I have two weeks before the next "event" - the Fourth
of July. I can lose something in 2 weeks.
I'd like to lose 11 pounds. That would keep me on my
goal of being out of the 3's by end of June.
We'll see - I'll keep you posted.
I'm actually quite happy (and surprised) that it was
only 1.5! It could easily have been much more.
