Blogger is bouncing a lot of my posts from Yahoo so I
don't really know what's going through and what's
not.......
Anyway, Good News! I got a card from Nephew Andy the
other day. It was a pic of he and Tara with a note
that said "Save the Date", Maui, July 6, 2007. So
they're getting married!
So....it looks like I'm going to Maui next July. He's
supposed to get back to everyone when he finds a
condo/resort that can accommodate everyone so we can
get our reservations made. I imagine Bro Steve will
want to go with me. I don't know about Bro Ken - his
first reaction was "I have absolutely no interest in
going to Hawaii!" Now he says he'll think about it.
Me? I have a lot of interest in going to Hawaii.
In fact, Maime and I had talked about taking a
Hawaiian cruise next summer when cruise prices are so
cheap. Now that this has come up, I need to check
with Andy and make sure it's OK if she comes - I can't
imagine why it wouldn't be. So we'll still get our
vacation in Hawaii next summer.
However, I've been thinking about this. Wouldn't it
be cool if we could combine the wedding with the
cruise? The only reason not to is the expense - which
increases due to having to stay at a hotel/resort for
a few days before hand. But, really, that's not any
different than staying a few days in any other city
before a cruise is it? I guess it'll depend on how
expensive it is. The Maui cruises usually depart on
Saturdays, the wedding is on Friday. We've already
paid the air fare and we're there. So, why not?
I'm going to suggest this to Maime and BroSteve when
we get the hotel costs sorted out.
