Food and Mind Garbage

Yesterday I had a bagel from Starbucks for (kind of)
brunch. Then I bought a salad at the restaurant in
the building and took it home for dinner. After I ate
that I was still hungry, so I did what any dieter
would do - I raided the cupboards.

I found brownie mix - but if it's not cooked it
doesn't have as many calories, right? So I poured
about half of it into a bowl, stirred in some water,
and ate it.

I might have the second half tonight.....

What's weird is that vacation is still 6-plus months
away and whenever I'm at rest I'm thinking about it.
What am I going to wear? Do I need more long pants?
Too many shorts and capris? Skirts? What if it's
windy - do I really want to be wearing skirts in the
wind? What should we do for our shore excursions?
Just get off and explore the port and shop and eat?
Pay for one of the cruise's excursions? Is there a
quiet place on the ship to sit out and read? Or will
I end up on the balcony? But the balcony might be
kind of small if we all sit out there...can you stay
in your room or do they want you out of it so they can
clean it? Where will we eat? There are something
like 9 restaurants on the ship - will I get lost?
When can I buy cigs to bring back? Can I buy them in
the duty free shop before I disembark or in the ports
and bring them back on board? I hope they have cheap
jewelry and gifts to bring back for Christmas presents
- what should I buy so-and-so for Christmas? Steve
will be along - I usually get him, Dad and Ken hats
whenever I go anywhere - he'll probably buy his own
hats if he wants them, so what do I get Steve for
Christmas? Do Dad and Ken really want a bunch more
hats? What should I read? The new "insert here" book
is coming out this summer, should I save it for the
trip or read it when it comes out? What should I take
to read? on and on and on and on and on...................
