This was a most gorgeous weekend. I took Friday off
and sat outside on the patio for most of day. I read
books, drank iced tea, watched the birds (and the
squirrels) at the bird feeders and the birdbaths, and
chased a neighbor's cat away. Then I did it again on
Saturday, until the rains came.....Sunday was
beautiful and warm again.
Went to dinner on Friday night with Jer - Salvadore
Mollie's (however you spell it) which I like because
they have such delicious pork dishes.
I have to check a birding website to see what kind of
bird has a black and white striped head - we seem to
have a lot of those. Also saw little brown wrens,
Scrub bluejays. Stellar bluejays, lots of robins. I
should probably get a little backyard bird
identification book.
We had woodpeckers of some kind the other day - they
loved the suet, but I didn't see them this weekend.
