Just Stuff

I realize I haven't been here for awhile. But, guess what? I've set up a MySpace page and have been blogging to that. It seems that I can't blog to both very well. I must have just enough to talk about to cover one of them. Anyway, to catch this one up. last Friday, Cousin Ron had his retirement party at the Evergreen Aviation Museum. Ron is (was) a pilot for Continental Airlines and, as with all commercial airlines, I guess, had to retire on his 60th birthday. Too bad about that because I don't think he was ready, but it made for a good party. The retirement party was held in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the flight of the Spruce Goose which is housed at the museum. The party was a dress-up event, themed "1940's Hollywood Glam" - many folks dressed up (not me, though). I have some pics up on MySpace. And there was dancing, with a live big band whose name I cannot remember.....it was great seeing lots of family and the event was pretty special. And, go see the Spruce goose sometime if you have a chance, it's HUGE! The museum is fascinating - it features aviation from the Wright Bros to space travel. Pretty cool.
